There's a lot of reasons why Ghost's music appeals to so many people, one of them being the sticky-sweet vocal melodies from their honey-throated frontman Tobias Forge. Take a deeper dive into the haunting voice behind Ghost with the isolated vocals from the Meliora track "Cirice" at the bottom of the page.

The song, which features a hypnotic riff and spellbinding vocal take, won a Grammy for Best Metal Performance in 2016, further establishing Ghost as one of the most popular metal bands of the 2010s.

When all the instrumentation is stripped away, we get to hear the depth of the vocal work on the song. Forge tracked layers of vocals which give "Cirice" such a rich sound and the real highlight comes toward the end.

Here's the lyrics so you can follow along with the video below.

I feel your presence amongst us
You cannot hide in the darkness
Can you hear the rumble?
Can you hear the rumble that's calling?
I know your soul is not tainted
Even though you've been told so
Can you hear the rumble?
Can you? I can hear the rumble that's calling?
I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
A candle casting a faint glow
You and I see eye to eye
Can you hear the thunder?
Can you hear the thunder that's breaking?
Now there is nothing between us
From now our merge is eternal
Can't you see that you're lost?
Can't you see that you're lost without me?
I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
Can't you see that you're lost without me?
I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you
I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you oh oh oh oh
I can see through the scars inside you
I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart
I can see through the scars inside you

Forge told Loudwire that he's aiming to release the next Ghost album in the spring of 2020. It also looks like the mastermind is plotting something heavier than Prequelle.
