Legendary drummer Gene Hoglan (Testament, Death, Strapping Young Lad) is back with another DVD. The Atomic Clock: The Clock Strikes Two will be released Feb. 3, 2017. Check out a video preview above.

It includes Hoglan playing along with tracks from several of his bands along with telling stories about their history. In addition, there are interviews with other musicians talking about their experiences with Hoglan. They include his Testament bandmates Chuck Billy, Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson along with Anthrax's Scott Ian and Frank Bello and others. The DVD is available for pre-order at this location.

Hoglan told Full Metal Jackie what he hopes people will take away from the DVD. "Quit drumming so I get all the jobs! [laughs] I hope people just, you know … I hope they’re entertained by it more so than anything else," Hoglan says. "I’m never sure how instructional I get with these DVDs. I try to throw some instruction in there, but I just try to have a really good time."

He continues, "And this format for this DVD will be a little bit different than the last one, and it’s hopefully going to be twice as entertaining, twice as much fun, twice as much for those who are not drummers or even musicians to enjoy."

Testament's latest album Brotherhood of the Snake was recently released, and the band is currently on tour in Europe. Hoglan will also appear on the upcoming Galaktikon 2 album with Brendon Small (Dethklok). He described the album this way: “It’s not a Dethklok record, but it’s a f–king Dethklok record! It sounds exactly like Dethklok, the lyrics are fully Dethklok.”
