Def Leppard Guitarist Vivian Campbell Files for Divorce + More News
Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell and wife Julie are divorcing after 25 years of marriage.
The couple has two daughters, aged 13 and 11. "Irreconcilable differences" are being cited as the cause. He is asking for joint legal and physical custody of his daughters and has asked the judge to deny spousal support.
Cambpell, 50, joined Def Leppard in 1992 and previously played in Dio, Sweet Savage, Shadow King and Riverdogs. [TMZ]
Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx will see his book The Heroin Diaries turned into a Broadway play. First Green Day and their album American Idiot. Now Sixx and his book. The Great White Way is certainly opening up its scope. Sixx shared the good news on his Facebook, posting:
"I've been getting asked this a lot lately...The answer is: Yes, The Heroin Diaries book is being turned into a Broadway play. More news to follow in the next few months....We're getting pretty far down the road...We hope for a late 2013 or early 2014 for it to open..." [Facebook]
Decibel Magazine will celebrate its 100th issue with a special show on Jan. 19, to be held at the Union Transfer in Philadelphia, which is the mag's HQ. The lineup is br00tal and Decibel-friendly, with Converge, Pig Destroyer, Municipal Waste, Repulsion, Tombs and Evoken populating the bill.
