Cradle of Filth have released a new music video for their song "You Will Know the Lion by His Claws." The song comes off the band's forthcoming album, Cryptoriana: The Seductiveness of Decay, which is due out Sept. 22 via Nuclear Blast.

The video takes a unique perspective on lyric videos by showing a typewriter hit all the different lyrics that go on throughout the song. It's kind of crazy how well the timings of the blast beats totally sync in with each new letter hitting the "page." It illustrates quite well the amount of lyricism singer Dani Filth imparts in each song, and how it ties into their album's concept. The guitars and instrumentals create an epic sounding atmosphere for the track, able to hit breakneck speeds under the howls of Filth's vocals or slow down for succinct musicality.

It's another new single for the group's upcoming record Cryptoriana: The Seductiveness of DecayOf the record, singer Dani Filth mentioned, “The album is deeply infused with Victorian gothic horror and thus the title is a reflection of that. Cryptoriana implies the Victorian’s infatuation with the supernatural, the grave and the ghoulish. And the subtitle The Seductiveness of Decay further cements this attraction to death and the glittering lengthy process of self-annihilation.”

Last month Cradle of Filth released their video for "Heartbreak and Seance," a visual perfectly encapsulating the band's aesthetics and sound into one. Who knows what the band will release next for Cryptoriana, but the group is sure to thrill with the new record.
