Cannibal Corpse Announce 2019 Tour With Thy Art Is Murder
Death metal legends Cannibal Corpse will be touring North American once again in 2019. Starting in October, Cannibal will bring Thy Art Is Murder and Perdition Temple on the road for more than a month of brutality.
Cannibal Corpse recently came off a stint opening for Slayer on the extreme thrash band’s final tour. After sharing the stage with Slayer, Lamb of God and Amon Amarth for an epic run of dates, Cannibal are headlining once again, bringing Australian deathcore giants Thy Art Is Murder along for the ride.
Thy Art Is Murder released their fifth studio album, Human Target, in July, peaking at No. 11 on the Australian Top Albums chart. Perdition Temple’s latest album, The Tempter’s Victorious, was released in 2015, but the blackened death metal act put out a split EP, Tribute to Blasphemy, last year.
"Throughout our career, we've tried to improve the precision of both our musical execution and our album production, while still maintaining full-on aggression. Red Before Black continues in that direction, but might go even further on the aggressive side of things,” bassist Alex Webster stated. It's definitely precise, but it has a rawness to it that goes beyond anything we've done recently.”
The tour will begin Oct. 20 in Houston, Texas and wrap up Nov. 27 in Tampa. Fla. Tickets will go on sale Aug. 9 at 10AM local time.
