Poison frontman Bret Michaels is okay following a scary accident Friday morning in which his tour bus hit multiple deer en route to a show, leading to an accident on the highway.

The singer, who was traveling with his solo band and crew, escaped relatively unharmed, though he and a few members aboard the bus suffered minor cuts and bruising as a result of the incident. The bus was en route to a show in Biloxi, Miss. from Abilene, Texas.

Speaking with Celebuzz after the incident, Michaels stated, "Except for some bumps and bruises I am thankful there were no serious injuries. It is unfortunate for the deer, but thankfully due to modern RV technology and a steel firewall, we are all okay. I have every intention to make tonight's show in Biloxi and the tour will continue."

No stranger to life on the road, Michaels is currently hosting the Travel Channel series 'Rock My RV with Bret Michaels.' The show airs Sundays at 9PM ET.
