As I Lay Dying Tour Dates With Underoath, Between the Buried and Me

Talk about a lineup! Christian metalcore act As I Lay Dying, who will be releasing a new record called 'The Powerless Rise' next month, have revealed their plans for the inaugural Cool Tour, which will also feature Underoath, Between the Buried and Me and a host of other bands. The trek launches in Orlando, Fla., on July 12 and grinds to a halt Aug. 1 in San Francisco.

Tickets for the Cool Tour will go on sale April 30. Fans can also opt for the 'Cooler Package,' which will get you a T-shirt, a signed tour poster and a souvenir tour laminate in addition to a ticket to the gig. The bill will also feature Blessthefall, the Acacia Strain, Architects, Cancer Bats and War of Ages.

"After taking last summer off to focus on writing new material, we'll be back out this year in support of our latest album, 'The Powerless Rise,'" explains As I Lay Dying's Phil Sgrosso. "We've got a killer lineup of bands that share the same passion for heavy music and putting on a great show every night for the fans. You don't want to miss a tour as good as this."

Meanwhile, Underoath guitarist Tim McTague says his band is "looking forward to putting our new direction in motion. Cool Tour is the perfect place to come out and show everyone what Underoath of the future will sound like."

"Somehow, Between the Buried and Me, the un-coolest band on the planet, is part of a tour called Cool Tour," noted Tommy Giles Rogers, vocalist of BTBAM. "Even though this will not make us become cool, we are stoked to be a part of the tour. Pumped to get back around the U.S. and melt your f---ing faces off."
