As I Lay Dying Pay Tribute to Judas Priest With ‘Electric Eye’ — Premiere
There's no doubt that As I Lay Dying is one of the leading acts in the modern metal movement. One of the best-selling groups in the genre today, this year the San Diego, Calif. quintet is celebrating their 10th anniversary and to help mark the event, they'll be releasing a compilation collection entitled 'Decas'
The record features three new songs, several covers and remixes by INNERPARTYSYSTEM, Dillinger Escape Plan's Benjamin Weinman, Kelly "Carnage" Cairns and Big Chocolate. Slayer and Descendents, are represented on 'Decas' via explosive covers.
Another cover featured on the album is As I Lay Dying's take on the Judas Priest classic, 'Electric Eye.' Originally on the UK heavy metal godfathers' 1982 album, 'Screaming for Vengeance,' the song is the ideal vehicle for AILD's vocalist Tim Lambesis to showcase his dynamic range and for the twin-guitar attack of Phil Sgrosso and Nick Hipa to lay the gauntlet down. Noisecreep is honored to bring you the world premiere of the song today.
'Decas' will be in stores on Nov. 8th via Metal Blade. Additionally, As I Lay Dying will be out on the road on the A Decade of Destruction headlining tour starting November 30. Support on the trek will come courtesy of Of Mice and Men, The Ghost Inside, Iwrestledabearonce and Sylosis.
