Ex-Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler and his namesake band Adler have been added to the lineup of the second KISS Kruise, which sets sail on Oct. 31 and rides the high seas until Nov. 4. It leaves port in Miami, Florida and sails to Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. The KISS Kruise marks the first-ever live performance of the band, so it's a landmark occasion. "I'm really excited to debut my new band by playing with KISS," the kit minder said. "KISS has always been one of my favorite bands and they are all great guys. Wes Borland's Black Light Burns will be touring shortly in support of The Moment You Realize You're Going to Fall. The band will canvas the western half of the U.S for three weeks in September and expect to follow with an eastern half run later in the year. P.O.D. has premiered the new video for the band's forthcoming new single, "Higher." The song will be the 2nd single from the band's new album, Murdered Love (Razor & Tie), which is out now. The video for "Higher" was filmed with director Ramon Boutisveth (All That Remains, For Today, Trivium). The band also partnered with Harley Davidson for this video and the video features a number of Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Chicago-based musician Markus Johansson's new project Sylencer is just breaking into the masses, but true metal fans have felt this presence brewing for a long while. The new Sylencer album, featuring guest appearances from the accomplished likes of Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), Rob Caggiano (Anthrax), Brendon Small (Dethklok), Andy LaRocque (King Diamond), Gene Hoglan (Death, Testament) and many more, will be unleashed on the world on Sept. 4. The album is entitled A Lethal Dose of Truth and will released in the U.S. by Sylencer's independent label, Sylencer Records (the album will be released in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland via dPulse Recordings/Ovrtone Music Group, Inc. and distribution partners NEO MCC GmbH/Sony Music Entertainment Germany). American symphonic metal crew Kamelot revealed the cover art for Silverthorn, due out on Oct. 30. The cover is gothic in nature, featuring black and blue tones and a raven-haired woman surrounded by birds. Of the artwork, guitarist Thomas Youngblood said, "Artist Stefan Heilemann captured the true essence of the story and the main character. The booklet and 44-page book is packed with amazing images!"
