Despite some changes and instability in the Against Me! lineup as of late, frontwoman Laura Jane Grace took to Twitter to share some details about the band's progress, which will no doubt thrill fans of the political punk rockers. NOFX frontman and bassist Fat Mike and drummer Atom Willard, who has also done time in Rocket From the Crypt, the Offspring and Angels & Airwaves, have joined Against Me! in the studio for recording sessions in San Francisco.

Willard has previous history with Against Me!, having filled in for fummer Jay Weinberg, who exited last year. Bassist Andrew Seward left in May, leaving some sizable holes in the rhythm section. Even so, Grace and guitarist James Bowman have promised that they will soldier on with their new album 'Transgender Dysphoria Blues,' which will be the band's first release since the singer came out and announced that she was transgender. Grace is producing and engineering the album as well.

Grace was born Tom Gabel and lived life as such for 30 years, but revealed that she would transition to life as a female in 2012. She documented the first year of life as a woman and detailed much of the transitioning process an informative feature in the May 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan. She revealed how her wife Heather has dealt with the change to life as they knew it and opened up about the challenges and his fear of the effects his transition may have on their young daughter Evelyn.
