Watch Aaron Lewis Perform Staind’s ‘Intro’ in Honor of Vinnie Paul
Aaron Lewis held a moment of silence at one of his solo shows for the late Vinnie Paul less than a day after news broke that the Pantera drummer had been found dead. The Staind frontman followed up the somber moment by playing a stripped down, acoustic version of the band's song "Intro," which was the closing track to the 2003 LP 14 Shades of Grey.
Fan-filmed video of the performance, take from Lewis' June 23 gig at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Lake Charles, La., can be viewed above. The tribute from Lewis is one of many which have surfaced in the days since the Pantera and Hellyeah drummer died at age 54.
The same night as Lewis, Jason Bonham dedicated Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" to Paul at a show in Camden, NJ. Alice in Chains sent out their song "Nutshell" to him when they did the song at Hellfest over the weekend. And just hours ago, Hellyeah frontman Chad Gray issued a statement where he says in part, "I just don't want to believe it's real."
