You Think You Know Korn?

Time to test your metal knowledge with another episode of You Think You Know Metal? This edition is focused on the blueprinters of nu-metal, Korn.

Our readers have been asking for a Korn episode for a while now, so, as they say, ask and you shall receive. This video is crammed full of Korn facts spanning the band’s entire career. We’re sure there are some insanely scholarly Korn fans out there, so let’s see if we can offer little-known facts for both the casual and hardcore listeners.

We start off this clip by delving into the Korn members’ lives before making it big, including past projects and morbid career paths. Keep watching and you’ll arrive at Korn’s debut album, but what ever happened to the little girl on the cover? We’ve got the answer.

One look at the Korn boys and you’ll see an oceans worth of ink on their skin, but do you know which member was tattooed by Fred Durst prior to his Limp Bizkit fame? We’ve also got some interesting looks at guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch‘s ink, including one piece that keeps him from indulging in a certain bad habit.

Korn played MTV’s Unplugged in late 2006 with heavy hitters such as the Cure’s Robert Smith and Evanescence‘s Amy Lee, but another giant act pulled out last-minute. Know who it is?

Find out the answers to all the questions above and many others in the Korn episode of You Think You Know Metal? Check it out!

Script by Ed Rivadavia and Graham ‘Gruhamed’ Hartmann; Narration by Full Metal Jackie; Video Editing by Paul Brasil.
