It's with a heavy heart that Noisecreep reports that Jeremy Deacon, the one-time bassist of Florida metal band Wykked Wytch, has passed away after a battle with lymphoma. Deacon was just 33. The news of the bassist's passing was posted on the band's official Facebook, where it honestly memorialized the onetime member.

Deacon (first on the left in the above photo) played with the group, one and off, from 1998 till 2001.

It's worth mentioning that Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi is also suffering from lymphoma, which was diagnosed earlier this year.

The Wykked Wytch Facebook post about Deacon is as follows and is unedited:

"Thank You all My dear Friends and fans for offering condolence & kind words for our Ex Bassist Jeremy deacon!I had a very rough nite dealing with his loss, too young To Die! I will be dedicating a part for Jeremy on my upcoming radio show this Thursday. We met Jeremy in 1998 and he was part of the group off and on till 2001. He performed at many shows in NY, OH, NJ, PA, including opening slot for Dying Fetus (1998) in NYC, March Metal Meltdown II in NJ (1999), San Antonio Metalfest (1999). Only other member to have performed with the original line-up and 'Angelic Vengeance' lineup. He was also involved during the writing sessions for 'Angelic Vengeance' but couldn't take part in the recording. Lost contact over the last several years but even when we moved down to Florida we brought him down to be apart of the group but didn't work out. Jeremy was very talented and I recognized that and always tried to help but his own demons always held him back from his dreams. In closing don't hold grudge, just tell that person today that you care before it's too late! Peace my friends!!"

The band's vocalist Ipek Warnock also offered a personal Facebook post about Deacon's death, pointing out that another member from that era also died, having committed suicide a few years ago. This post is unedited, as well.
