The Rendering

The Rendering were established in 2009, with a singular goal according to guitarist Dan Marinaro. "To give something back to the music scene that people could look up and connect to," Marinaro told Noisecreep. "We create music that reignites the way of listening to music by creating a deeper relationship with sound." The band has built up a loyal, supportive local following, with Marinaro saying, "Fans love our live show, a lot of people say that we have more energy and we are more fun to watch then a lot of the national bands that they go and see. We just try to put on the best show we can and have the most amount of fun doing it."

So it's not so rare that the Goliaths need to take some lessons from the Davids of the world! The Rendering will spend 2010 doing two things crucial to a developing band: writing and touring. "We're hopefully going to have a good amount of new songs written by this time next year and a good three to five months of road experience under our belt," Marinaro, who played top level youth ice hockey for 12 years, said.

He actually moved to super hot Phoenix from often frigid Buffalo, N.Y. five years ago, hence his hockey experience. He said, "Hockey is a huge deal out there, so when I moved here, I found an organization to play with that I really loved called Mission Arizona Ice. We played U16 and U18 AAA, which is the highest level of youth hockey you can play."

Another interesting fact? Bassist Andrew actually owns an Arctic wolf named Sue, who lives in a cage in their backyard. His mom is a vet who rescues animals.
