American rock quintet The Maine just finished up the U.S. leg of their Pioneer World Tour, supporting their 2011 album of the same name. Over the next few months they'll be hitting South America and Asia before spending September touring Europe. With support from Arkells and Lydia, the tour packed venues across the country, and featured a set of songs highlighting all three of The Maine's studio albums, as well as a special cover of the Beatles's "With a Little Help From My Friends", also featuring members of both opening bands.

Before their show in Anaheim, Calif., guitarist Jared Monaco and drummer Pat Kirch chatted with Noisecreep about the Pioneer World Tour, their first concerts growing up, and what it's like to play festival crowds vs. more intimate shows. Both agreed that the response to the new album live has been overwhelmingly positive, and are looking forward to taking the tour to different parts of the world.
