The Life and Times is a power trio that combine the most dynamic elements of angular post-hardcore and expansive space rock.

Formed in Kansas City, Mo. in 2003, the group features singer/guitarist/keyboardist Allen Epley (formerly of Shiner), bassist Eric Abert and drummer Chris Metcalf. The band's debut full-length 2005's 'Suburban Hymns' earned critical praise of such outlets as Pitchfork who proclaimed that the band's "shoegaze-inspired guitars are neatly folded between heavy modern rock drumming, rhythms are toyed with, stretched, and collapsed" and "the band creates a wall of sound that moves in and evaporates like fog, leaving only keyboards and moogs behind."

'No One Loves You Like I Do,' The Life and Times' third album, will be released next month and Noisecreep is thrilled to bring you an exclusive in-studio video performance of 'Day Twelve,' a track off the forthcoming full-length.

The Life and Times guitarist/vocalist Allen Epley told Noisecreep about the 'Day Twelve' video shoot:

"We shot the video at our studio here in Chicago, affectionately named Electronical for its super close proximity and relative puniness to Steve Albini's Electrical studio. It was done on a blistering hot day in June and our studio has no climate control. Through the sweat we mic'd up the drum kit and amps and kind of just faked our way through what turned out to be a pretty cool live in-studio performance.

"Eric and Chris couldn't hear any of the vocals and neither could I much – to be honest. It was filmed by Clayton Brown and edited by Eric Abert, our bassist, at a point in time after we'd laid down basic tracks and overdubs on everything, but still hadn't begun the mixing process for 'No One Loves You' which happened in Sept 2011 at the Blasting Room by Jason Livermore. It's an entirely live recording with absolutely no overdubs or cleanups, performed while finishing an entire bottle of Cabin Still bourbon."

The Life and Times will release 'No One Loves You Like I Do' on Jan. 17 via Slimstyle Records.
