November 24, 1991 was an incredibly sad day for the rock world. Not only was it the day Queen legend Freddie Mercury died, but the day KISS drummer Eric Carr passed away, as well. Well over 20 years after Carr's death, the drummer's heirs have filed a lawsuit against KISS for "untold payments" stretching back all the way to Carr's passing.

Last year, it was revealed that KISS would launch their very own football team. Considering what KISS have slapped their band's name onto in the past, the announcement of the L.A. KISS team invading the Arena Football League wasn't too much of a shock, but the actual uniforms for the team will boggle your brains.

Up to 80,000 fans were expected for the Hell & Heaven Metal Fest coming up March 15 and 16 just outside Mexico City. However, the event, which features KISS, Guns N’ Roses, Twisted Sister, Rob Zombie, Testament and Opeth, is in doubt after being stopped by the Mexican state government. However, the organizers say the festival will go on as planned.

KISS will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this spring, but much to the dismay of many fans, the group has decided not to perform at the event. KISS have always been a merchandising juggernaut, but now the band is tackling a brand new endeavor: football. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are part of an ownership group that’s bringing a new expansion team to the Arena Football League. The name of that team? The L.A. KISS.
