Last night, thrash veterans Slayer took to the 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' stage, easily being the heaviest band ever featured on the show. As expected, the band covered the stage with amps subsequently, blocking the audience that is normally seen from behind the drum kit.

Slayer played 'Hate Worldwide' from their most recent album, 'World Painted Blood,' and though the guitars could have been mixed just a little louder, Tom Araya and crew still laid the show to grinding, headbanging waste. Then after the cameras shut down, the band then launched into 'Dead Skin Mask.'

If that is just not enough Slayer for you right now don't forget the band was also wonderful enough to play for us in our exclusive Slayer Sessions video. Compare the versions of 'Word Painted Blood' and see which one took the sound to eleven. We're kind of biased.

Today Slayer hits the road on American Carnage joined by Megadeth and Testament. The second leg of tour reunites the original Clash of the Titans lineup when Anthrax replaces Testament for the remainder of the descendant tour.
