Silent Fall, ‘One Cold Winter Night’ — Killer Lyrics

Killer Lyrics: Enclosed in a grave made of despair / The dawn will come / My fury will end / But until the world awakes my rage will carry on

Silent Fall, the band formerly named Winterland, are releasing their first album, ‘Otherwise,’ under their new name. ‘One Winter Night’ is one of the tracks released on their MySpace. “I … composed that song on one cold winter night,” vocalist Adrien Eyraud told Noisecreep, of the appropriately-titled song. “I had had a bad day, and a very good friend of mine (a girl) had hurt me by saying and doing something personal I truly did not like.”

While this doesn’t sound like too much of a favorable situation for anyone, keep in mind that great written works are commonly born from undesirable emotions and situations. Fortunately, for both Eyraud and us, he channeled the anger towards something constructive for the French melodic metal band.

“Usually, I’m someone trying to relax all the time, but on this day,” Eyraud explained. ” I decided, instead of fighting with a door or a wall, to put all my rage in the lyrics and the music. That’s how that song is born.”

‘Otherwise’ will hit shelves on Feb. 2 on Pitch Black Records.
