Flashback: Queens of the Stone Age’s Joshua Homme Becomes Awkward Pitchman [Watch]

Queens of the Stone Age‘s Joshua Homme seems perfectly comfortable onstage, but the singer let his awkward side show while serving as a pitchman for the Scissor Sisters‘ 2012 album, ‘Magic Hour.’ In a clip shot like infomercials of an era gone by, Homme stumbles his way through a stilted and forced promotion of the disc.

Whether it be mispronouncing the band’s name, needing to edit in extra words to finish sentences or simply uttering such phrases as “You might unmember me from last night or Queens of the Stone Age” and “‘Magic Hour’ is choked full of new tunes from one of the most celebrated artists of our time slash generation period,” Homme is awesomely awkward in this spoof. Watch this humorous Scissor Sisters promo and be thankful the singer has a steady music gig.
