Protest the Hero to Launch ‘Volition’ Tour with Architects

Canadian rockers Protest the Hero will kick off a North American tour with Architects, the Kindred and Affiance beginning Nov. 7. That’s shortly after the release of their upcoming fourth album ‘Volition.’

Protest the Hero asked fans to help them fund ‘Volition’ with a crowdfunding campaign. More than 8,000 people chipped in to help raise over $341,000, shattering their goal of $125,000. They have partnered with Razor & Tie to help distribute and promote the album, which is set for an Oct. 29 release.

The band’s drummer Moe Carlson left last year to further his education, and Lamb of God‘s Chris Adler stepped in to help record the album. But due to his Lamb of God obligations, Adler won’t be able to tour with Protest the Hero.

Here’s part of a message Adler posted on the topic: “I was a fan of PTH and jumped at the chance to step out of my box a little bit, push myself and explore my capabilities. It turned into quite a daunting task, but I’m much better off for it.”
