Philip H. Anselmo is on his first-ever solo tour with his band, the Illegals. The Technicians of Distortion trek is one not to be missed, as evidenced by the fan-filmed footage of the trek, which has begun to pop up online and gives fans an idea of what to expect when Anselmo and his crew roll through town like wrecking balls. Yes, he dips deep into his vast catalog to play classics and hits from Pantera and others.

In these clips, Anselmo ripped and roared through Pantera's anthem 'Domination,' which houses one of the best and most groove-centric riffs ever, and 'Hollow,' as well as 'Death Rattle.' The songs sound as fresh today as they did when we first heard them. Clearly, Anselmo is giving the fans what they want and need on his summer trek.

The footage was culled from the Friday, Aug. 2 show in Des Moines. The Iowans were certainly treated to a killer show from a metal legend who is trying something new -- a solo album and tour -- three decades into his career.
