The late, great Dimebag Darrell would be immensely proud. Philip Anselmo and the Illegals played a secret show in Covington, La. on Tuesday, July 30 ahead of their upcoming national tour and they invited a terminally ill young fan named Peyton Arens onto the stage to perform and shred to the Pantera classic 'Walk.'

It was thoroughly awesome and inspiring to watch and the kid can play, shredding in a way that would have Dime smiling down from his spot in heaven.

We can't help but wonder exactly what Anselmo whispered in his mini shredder's ear before and after he ripped through the monster groove of the song. Whatever was said had to make young Peyton a very happy camper. Getting a pep talk or encouragement of any sort from a metal legend like Anselmo is priceless.

Arens suffers from a rare cancer known as rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a disease of the connective tissue. Despite his condition, he plays like a pro!

More video footage and a photo of this dream-come-true scenario are posted below. Anselmo shared the pieces of content on his personal Instagram account, where he also praised Arens for being a "really great player and an awesome kid."

That we don't doubt.
