One thing is certain -- Black Sabbath are heading into the final stage of their storied career, but when that career will come to an end has been a question for some time. Ozzy Osbourne shed some light on the matter during a press conference last week at the Monsters of Rock festival in Brazil.

During the press conference, he stated, "The plan is that next year [is the] final Black Sabbath tour and album." Earlier this year, Sharon Osbourne had teased that Black Sabbath were playing their farewell at Ozzfest Japan in November, but not long after that announcement, the band was no longer listed as part of the bill and in their place was an "Ozzy and friends" headlining set.

Also during the press conference, Osbourne answered questions about Tony Iommi and his health, stating, "He's doing great now. I text him now and again. He sounds fine." As for his own well-being and the cancellation of Ozzfiesta this spring, Osbourne didn't say anything about his health and added that he doesn't typically handle any of the bookings. He added, "I don't really know what happened with Ozzfiesta."

Though Black Sabbath may be in for one final hurrah, don't look for Osbourne to stop once Black Sabbath is finished. "Being in the music business keeps me really young," says Osbourne. "When you hit 60, people ask, 'Are you gonna retire?' F--- no, man."
