What happened to good old fashioned stockings or a ski mask? Shann Spalding, the lead singer of New York black metal band Divine Infamy, donned a cat mask of all disguises to rob a Nine West shoe store in Queens. Maybe she thought it was called nine lives?

According to CBS News, the 28-year-old Spalding -- whose stage name is Purgatory -- was arraigned last week on two counts of robbery. Police said she admitted to two other robberies, but put the blame on an unnamed man who forced her to (cat) nip in and out of the stores without paying.

On Divine Infamy's MySpace page, which has a song posted entitled 'The Fallen Queen in Forsaken Times,' the band thanked "those who attended Deathfest 2010 and supported us," noting that their Friday show did go ahead as scheduled.

The band's next gig is Sept. 11 at New York City's Port 41.

The other members go by such names Lord Draconova (guitar), Gengis Khan (guitar) Zolatoi (bass) and Ruin (drums). Ah, isn't playing in a band fun?
