In a world where musicians hate to be labeled, fans of New Keepers of the Water Towers have knighted the band with their very own genre: beast rock. The Swedish combo definitely delivers the kind of brutal material that warrants such a description.

Formed in 2006 by guitarist-singer Rasmus Booberg and drummer Tor Sjödén, New Keepers of the Water Towers overflow with mountain-high riffs and thunderous cymbal crashes, as well as memorable vocal melodies. The band's new album, 'The Calydonian Hunt,' comes out on April 27th and Noisecreep is proud to bring you the exclusive premiere of its first track, 'Abyssal Lord.'

"'Abyssal Lord' is a punch of brutal fish-stinking rock delivered in a box of chugging crunch," said Boomberg.

"The lyrics were inspired by the weird tales of H.P Lovecraft," he explained. "It's the story of a fiend ancient as time itself, rising to reap the earth and sea. It's a place where the creatures of the deep do everything in their might to hinder the beast from annihilating fish and man alike."
