Necrodeath Fight Hypocrisy on ‘Hate and Scorn’ — Song Stream

Scarlet Records

Italy’s Necrodeath were playing their take on extreme metal when a lot of the bands covered on Noisecreep were still in diapers. Originally formed in 1984 under the name Ghostrider, the group became a favourite amongst players of the early tape-trading scene. After changing their name to Necrodeath, the Italians went on to release two acclaimed albums before splitting up in 1989.

Since reforming in 1998, Necrodeath have released seven studio albums and become one of their country’s most celebrated underground acts. The band is set to release their definitive retrospective album, ‘The Age of Fear,’ on June 14th. The collection spans their entire career and Noisecreep got the green light to share one of the songs off the disc. We chose ‘Hate and Scorn’ for its relentless guitar and vocal assault. So dig in and experience extreme metal done Italian style.

“With ‘Hate and Scorn’ we celebrated our return in the metal scene, when we reunited, back in 1998. It’s dedicated to the hypocrisy that surrounds Christianity, which we hate in a big way. We always play it during our live shows,” said Necrodeath via email to Noisecreep.

‘The Age of Fear’ will be out on June 14th via Scarlet Records.
