As the famed NAMM convention continued over the weekend in Anaheim, Calif., attendees realized right away that there was a lot of metal and hard rock to go around.

When it came to autograph opportunities, some of the biggest names on the planet, when not seen walking around checking out the show, were set up behind tables to sign and take photos with the thousands of fans in attendance.

A virtual army of rockers packed the convention center -- Rob Halford, Dave Navarro, members of Slipknot, Metallica -- the list just went on. But perhaps the biggest line of the show belonged to the full-band autograph signing by Anthrax, hosted by Samson Technologies, one of the industry leaders in pro audio equipment.

Anthrax were on the eve of a U.S. tour to support their much acclaimed new album, 'Worship Music,' and Scott Ian was pleased to see how far the line stretched around the convention center floor.

"It's amazing to our band that people do this," he laughed when Noisecreep spoke with him. "But people have really connected with the new record and this kind of support is amazing. We start our tour tomorrow in Las Vegas and I really think people will be coming out in droves because of that new record. But our fans are awesome, they're always there for us and we try to be there for them. Seeing that line today is sick - these are very cool people."

Then it was time for the folks that had literally waited hours to meet their favorite band - the entire band. Just another one of hundreds of memorable NAMM moments from over the weekend.
