Metallica, ‘One’ at the 1989 Grammy Awards — Killer Video
In 1989, the Grammy Awards added a metal award and invited Metallica to perform on the telecast. Metallica played 'One' from the band's seminal 1988 album '... And Justice for All.' The Grammy Awards were clearly not ready for this sort of thrashing; Metallica infamously lost the Best Metal Performance Grammy that year to Jethro Tull.
