Get ready to ‘Kill ‘Em All’ with style on the slopes next winter, in your brand new pair of skis designed by Metallica. The band has teamed up with ski manufacturer Armada to create a line of gear. Their inspiration was simple, posting on their website that three out of the four members of Metallica love to ski, with Kirk Hammett being the odd man out, preferring water sports.

Check out the group’s ski design above. They’ll come in two versions, one for all-mountain grinding and one for shredding on powder. Metallica are also working on designs for a Hans windbreaker jacket and Decker gloves, to wear during those heavy (metal) snowstorms we’ll get next winter. Fans can pre-order the skis here, and the jacket and glove designs will be available to purchase online in September.

Their designing career aside, Metallica has been keeping busy. The group played a private corporate concert Monday night for Salesforce.com. Impressing the crowd with a 12-song set, followed by two encore songs, ‘Creeping Death’ and ‘Seek & Destroy.’ This isn’t the first time Metallica has rocked the faces off of Salesforce employees, they also played at the company’s 2011 convention. The company’s CEO, Marc Benioff, is a neighbor and friend of Hammett’s. Check out some videos of their performance below.

Metallica are currently working on the follow-up album to 2008's 'Death Magnetic.' Last month, they shared a photo with fans, that showed Robert Trujillo at work in the studio. There has been no talk of a release date, title or song list for their upcoming effort, but progress is being made.
