They might not be a household name yet, but Kaura have already racked up some impressive accomplishments. In the last few years, the Los Angeles-based rockers have opened for Tool, garnered radio airplay on influential stations (L.A.'s KROQ), and even landed their song 'Now or Never' a spot on a national ad campaign for Ford Motors.

Kaura recently released their debut album, 'That Which Defines Us.' Produced by vocalist Malcolm Guess, with production assistance from Sylvia Massey (System of a Down), Ken Andrews (Failure) and Alex Newport (At the Drive In), the record is sure to please fans of brooding alt-rock.

Noisecreep presents the exclusive premiere of 'Awakening the Seed,' a previously unreleased track from Kaura.

Kaura vocalist Malcolm Guess explains the meaning behind the track:

"We were approached by Seda James, a film maker friend of ours, to write a song for his short film titled Subject 6. The vibe of the film is sort of a long the lines of 'The Matrix' set in a post-apocalyptic time with the production aesthetic of 'City of the Lost Children.' The concept was right up our alley being that it's core theme is about "waking up" from the current reality we experience and remembering our true self and true potential. Before the short even made it out to indie film festivals it got picked up and he signed a deal for the feature length to be made titled 'Subject 7.'"

Kaura's 'That Which Defines Us' is available now.
