Good news, Midwestern metalheads. The Indianapolis Metal Fest is returning to the Circle City on Saturday, October 1st, at the Old National Centre located at 502 N. New Jersey Street. The event will utilize the entire Old National Centre complex including the Murat Theatre, Egyptian Room, and other spaces throughout the multi-purpose facility. The lineup, ticket prices, and sale information will be announced soon, so be sure to check Noisecreep or the fest's Facebook page for updates.

Here's what we do know: the Indianapolis Metal Fest will consist of multiple stages, as well as a metal market where all things metal will be displayed and sold. There will also be opportunities for fest attendees to meet some of the bands on the bill.

"I'm really excited about the 2011 Indianapolis Metal Fest," said organizer Mark LaFay. "Rob Mason, the festival's founder, started this journey a few years ago and I am very excited to work with him and Live Nation to take this event to the next level in 2011. There are awesome events on both sides of the nation, and we are hoping to grow this event into something for Middle America metalheads to really take pride in!"
