It's been a five-year journey for the Edisun's self-titled debut album. With the record fully out and the video for 'Medicate' in high anticipation, Noisecreep is proud to give the first look at the hard rocking song's visual packaging.

Filmed in the flooded and abandoned Salton Sea, Calif. (near the Mexico border), Edisun's once-living surroundings matched the struggling theme and anti-drug bent of the song. "In today's world, they make a drug for everything," frontman Ethan Isaac told Noisecreep. "You can alter your moods to feel any way you want."

He continued, elaborating on the song's message, "The chorus says, 'We all fall down until we all come around,' meaning at some point this prescribed-drug culture will implode. The verses deal with how drug companies are controlling everyone. Specifically, the first line: 'In this celebration, it's all a game to keep us the same.' At the end of the song, there is a refrain, which is basically a call to arms, pleading, 'Give it up, now.'"

Edisun spent time playing for U.S. troops in five stints in the Middle East before the release of their debut -- a worthy setback to recording. Their presence was demanded thanks to a heavy request from troops after hearing the Sept. 11-inspired song, 'Into the Sunlight.'

'Medicate' features Jesse Bradford, who plays Eddie Franks on NBC's 'Outlaw.'
