We recently reported on Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine reaching out to a once-deaf fan, inviting her to Las Vegas to experience her first ever rock concert. The heartwarming gesture gave Sarah Churman to see not just Megadeth live, but Motorhead, too, for a double dose of metal awesomeness. Following up on Churman's journey, she and Mustaine appeared together on a Vegas talk show to share their story with a wider audience (watch above).

Back in 2011, a video was posted of a 29-year-old Sarah Churman hearing for the very first time and it has since brought tears to the eyes of millions. The clip currently has more than 21 million views on YouTube, at least one of which comes from Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine.

Before attending her first concert, Churman was interviewed by KTNV with Mustaine by her side. "It was such a heart-touching story to watch her," Mustaine began. "I consider myself to be pretty rugged, but I got a little teary eyed when I watched her be able to experience what we all take for granted. And then somebody had said, 'You know, she actually likes your music.' And it was just great... When we found out that she was a fan, it was, like, this is a no-brainer. We wanna meet and just say how fortunate we are to be a part of her life and this new phase."

Although Churman couldn't hear growing up, music was still a big part of her life. Churman's father would play '80s rock for his daughter and she would simply feel the vibrations while singing along. "You crank it up loud enough and sit by the amp and you feel the beat," Sarah explained. "Growing up, my Dad or my Mom or friends would tell me the lyrics to certain songs and you just memorize it, you know, and just hope you're singing it at the right time." Sarah also named Megadeth's cover of Alice Cooper's 'No More Mr. Nice Guy' as one of her favorite tracks growing up.

After experiencing her first rock concert on April 17, Churman posted pictures of the experience on Facebook, including ones of her on KTNV, one with Dave Mustaine and another with the entire Megadeth lineup.

Sarah Churman documented her life-changing journey from 29 years of silence to the world of sound in the book 'Powered On: The Sounds I Choose to Hear and the Noise I Don't.' To grab a copy of Sarah's book, which holds a unanimous five-star rating by Amazon readers, click here.
