It appears that the case of missing Cipher drummer Danny Bobis, a local hardcore and metal scene presence, as well as teacher, surfing enthusiast and coach, has been solved but in the saddest of possible ways. It would appear that Bobis did not survive in the body of water in which he was last seen.

Bobis disappeared while surfing in a remote area of Indonesia earlier this week. He caught a wave, but only his surfboard resurfaced afterwords.

Since he was surfing in a region where the authorities did not have the amenities or capabilities to conduct a full scale search and rescue mission, his family had set up a PayPal account to help raise money to fund a search.

A Facebook page bearing the headline "Rest in Peace Mr. Bobis" is here, with hundreds of messages posted about Bobis. The first post reads: "Never forgotten. Your bright smile and personality will always be remembered. God needed an angel like you in heaven i guess. Long Beach High School will never be the same with you gone. Im happy i got to know you. You were truly a great guy... Rest easy♥"

Noisecreep would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to Bobis and his family during this difficult time.
