Blitzkid Aren’t Afraid of Ghosts on ‘Wretched’ — Song Premiere

Hailing from Bluefield, West Virginia, horror-punks Blitzkid lay down punchy rhythms underneath bassist-vocalist Argyle Goolsby's honeyed vocals. Similarly to the Misfits, Blitzkid sing about subjects that wouldn't seem out of place in an old horror movie while their mile-wide hooks keep you humming along.

Blitzkid's new album, 'Apparitional,' will be released on May 3rd. Noisecreep is thrilled to present the exclusive premiere of 'Wretched,' one of our favorite songs on the record.

Vocalist Goolsby recently told Noisecreep about the deeper meaning behind the song.

"It's definitely not your typical horror punk song, but we have these type of tunes on all of our records," he said. "Sometimes real life and the impossibility of being human is far more horrific than anything found under your bed or behind the pages of a ghost story. Sometimes the monsters invade and hide in your heart, and you don't even know they are there until it's too late. 'Wretched ' is one of those songs."

Blitzkid will be touring the US with Face to Face and Strung Out in May and June.
