BiohazardBiohazard bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld has a whole other career as a porn star, but he hasn't abandoned what could be construed as his first love, and that's making music with his brothers from New York. Ah, Biohazard ... the name conjures memories of the lyrical declaration, "And when you're in Brooklyn, you best watch your back!"

Speaking of back -- but not that kind of back -- Biohazard are just that. "Biohazard have been around for 24 years, and Biohazard is Biohazard," Seinfeld told Noisecreep. "We've sold four million albums in our career and have played over 5,000 concerts! In the '90s, we played 300 shows a year, in over 100 countries, so we were a true international underground metal band with roots in hardcore, hip-hop and punk."

The bassist/singer also asserted that the band is "part of who I am." The original Biohazard lineup is reunited and working on a new studio album, which it will shop to labels, in addition to playing summer festivals.

Seinfeld revealed that the new album is "brutal and catchy," and that it's time for the band to make its showpiece album, even though many Biohazard die-hards will attest that 'Urban Discipline' is the band's masterwork! "We want to make that album," Seinfeld said. "We're known for the live show, the sound, the hardness, Brooklyn and the logo, real hardcore fans, but it's like we're not known for the songs."

Seinfeld feels it's time to be known for the songs. He continued, "People come up to me and say, 'Dude, I love what Biohazard is all about.' But for us, it was about the songs, and we fell short in hooking the music in people's minds. We want it to be our version of, like, when Metallica made 'Ride the Lightning' or even the 'Black' album. For them, they were always raising the bar."
