You know that old saying K.I.S.S. -- Keep It Simple, Stupid? Well, Battlecross Keep It Simple and Shred in their new video for 'Never Coming Back.'

If you are looking for blood, guts, gore and more, which is the case with a lot of extreme metal videos, well, you won't get that here. And that's okay. The video is more about what it looks like to play metal than all the excess imagery, and this should definitely appeal to metalheads who enjoy fast, precise playing.

It's a simple and stark clip, featuring the Detroit brawlers performing and murdering their instruments, cloaked in all black, against a stark white backdrop. No, it's not thrilling. It's not reinventing the notion of metal videos. But it does capture the essence of the band's music and for two minutes and 26 seconds, you understand what it's like to see Battlecross live.

So for the simple and non-discerning metalhead, this clip will do the trick, especially when the camera closes in on the members' fingers drifting up and down the strings. Their synchronized, circular headbanging also looks pretty bad ass as well.

Fans can see Battlecross bring this same enthusiasm on tour this summer as the travel the country on the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.
