Some Noisecreep readers might recognize Automatic Static mainman Z Rokk aka Zac Diebels from his days as the guitarist in Sacramento, Calif. alterna-metallers Simon Says. After the latter group disbanded in 2002, Z pursued his education and earned a BA in Political Science from CSU Sacramento. After being accepted to McGeorge Law School in Sacramento, Z realized that music was where he wanted to be and not the law.

Z started Automatic Static as a solo project in a small one-bedroom apartment in downtown Sacramento, but after recording and writing for a year or so, he started to play live shows with friends and musicians filling out the lineup. Z eventually recruited his friend, and longtime local Sacramento musician, Matt Franks on bass and local session players for live/studio drums. Together they now form the wall of sound that is Automatic Static. After touring all over the West Coast many times over they are ready to release their new album 'Number IV.'

In this Noisecreep exclusive, we bring you the exclusive premiere of 'I'm All, So You're All...,' a track off the forthcoming album.

Listen to 'I'm All, So You're All...' From Automatic Static

Automatic Static's Z Rokk gave Noisecreep some background on "I'm All, So You're All...":

"This song is about how sometimes you make mistakes in your life however when you try to make amends with the person or persons or people that you made mistakes with often times they're not willing to forgive you. Writing a song about how I wish sometimes people could forgive more and understand people make mistakes is therapy for me as an artist. However I realize often that sometimes when people are unwilling to forget and forgive due to their own insecurities getting the best of them and their insecurity derives from holding somebody to their wrongs forever.

"Often my songs and art express emotional issues and are my own personal therapy to work out my own demons. I think that music is this way for many and why it is like a drug to all of us who do it. Whether in writing for Automatic Static or producing remixes as Z Rokk my emotions are always what drive my creativity and what make me react to putting music to the blank canvas of the song."

Automatic Static's 'Number IV' will be out on March 20 via Authentik Artists.
