Just because the holidays are over doesn't mean the music world shuts down. In fact, after a dearth of December releases, the album and DVD schedule is starting to fill up again. There's an interesting group of big time acts, up-and-comers and familiar faces in new places releasing new music in January and we want to know which upcoming offering you are most anticipating.

While Jan. 7 is still light on new releases, things begin to pick up on Jan. 14 with the career-spanning Mark Lanegan set, 'Has God Seen My Shadow? An Anthology 1989-2011,' the Supersuckers return with 'Get the Hell' and Switchfoot's 'Fading West.' Fans can also look for upstarts Neck Deep dropping their 'Wishful Thinking' album.

Jan. 21 brings as wealth of releases. Against Me's 'Transgender Dysphoria Blues,' Iced Earth's 'Plagues of Babylon,' Reverend Horton Heat's 'Rev,' and an 'MTV Unplugged' disc from Scorpions are among the bigger acts, while Chrome Division's 'Infernal Rock Eternal,' Culted's 'Oblique to All Paths,' Pro-Pain's 'Final Revolution' and Throwdown's 'Intolerance' also arrive on the scene.

The week of Jan. 28 brings Metallica's 'Metallica Through the Never' on DVD and Blu-Ray, a Gaslight Anthem 'B-Sides' disc, Of Mice & Men's 'Restoring Force,' The Lawrence Arms' 'Metropole' and Primal Fear's "Delivering the Dragon.' Guitar great Jake E. Lee returns with a self-titled disc from his new band Red Dragon Cartel, while Mike Portnoy turns up in Transatlantic for their 'Kaleidoscope' disc. And You Me At Six continue their musical ascent with 'Cavalier Youth.'

Now that you've seen the albums and video collections en route, it's your time to tell us which is the most anticipated release of January 2014. This poll will close on Dec. 31, 2013 and the winner will be deemed the new release of the month for January 2014 and featured in a post on the Noisecreep website.
