The Big Four's only US show unfolded this past Saturday in the California desert, with Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax performing for about 50,000 of their closest friends. After years of hopes and dreams of 'Big Four' of thrash getting together, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax have finally shared the stage together for what will end up being a total of seven shows for the Sonisphere Festivals. Many hoped this event would cause the bad blood between the bands to be put to rest -- which it might be, as an onstage jam did happen to the tune of the Diamond Head'

The wheels for the seven 'Big Four' Sonisphere tour dates went into motion slowly but surely. First, Slayer signed on to do some shows with Megadeth in Australia and Japan.
