Kittie: Insane Clown Posse/Coolio Tour Has Gone ‘Unbelievably Well’
When Kittie announced they would be performing alongside Insane Clown Posse, Coolio and Kottonmouth Kings on tour, jaws dropped, mouths fell agape, heads were scratched and a healthy 'WTF?!' was uttered by many confounded metalheads. The tour is wrapping up, and Kittie vocalist-guitarist Morgan Lander checked in from the road.
"The tour with ICP has been going unbelievably well," Lander told Noisecreep. "We weren't sure what to expect from the crowd and the band, but everyone has been exceptionally helpful and welcoming and the fans have been great! The reception has been overwhelmingly positive. It has been a blast so far!" Lander said "having Coolio as a part of the tour has been a funny story in itself! He is definitely hilarious," about remaining fully entertained behind the scenes.
Kittie's interactions with juggalos -- those diehard, face paint wearing, ICP-loving, Faygo drinkers -- have also been nothing but love, too. "It's always interesting interacting with the juggalos," Lander said. "Most are just down to earth, hard working people who want to let loose and have fun. There have been a few over-the-top drunken fan encounters for sure!"
In other Kittie news, the Canadian cats debuted the video for 'Die My Darling' – I know, it makes me think of the Misfits, too. The band also released behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot.
Up next, more heavy lifting for Kittie. The band will appear on this summer's edition of the Thrash and Burn Tour alongside Stick to Your Guns, Evergreen Terrace, Through the Eyes of the Dead, Greeley Estates, Impending Doom, Motionless in White and Chelsea Grin.
