All aboard! Metal auteur Devin Townsend and up 'n' comers Animals as Leaders, featuring young turk Tosin Abasi, have been added to the lineup for the Progressive Nation at Sea event, which takes place Feb. 18 trough Feb. 24 on the Norwegian Pearl, heading from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay and Freeport, Bahamas.

The event gives prog fans a boatload of music, with 40 shows spread across multiple stages and music planned from morning until night each day of the event. That's in addition to four days at sea and in the Caribbean, enjoying the gorgeous scenery. Other acts include Portnoy Sheehan Macalpine Sherinian, Jon Anderson, King's X and more.

The event is the brainchild of Mike Portnoy, which takes his Progressive Nation from land to the high seas. The tour launched in 2008 and saw Portnoy's former band Dream Theater hit North America and Europe, celebrating prog music's spirit and sound.

This is Progressive Nation at Sea's maiden voyage and it's incredibly affordable at $700 per person, including amenities such as entertainment, meals, hot tubs, a fitness center and more. Most cruise vacations number in the thousands of dollars, so if you love prog and want to set sail, do it up.
