It was just announced that guitarist Mike Frisby had left Blessthefall. He had been one of the founding members of the popular Christian metalcore outfit since its formation back in 2004. But now it looks like he's chosen the domestic life over the touring grind. The band issued the following statement through their official Myspace profile page:

"We are going to get right to it and let you know that Mike Frisby's chapter in the blessthefall book has come to an end. The decision was made on his behalf as he wished to start the new year off with a new life at home to pursue another life's path. There are no harsh feelings and we wish our good friend the best of luck!"

Not losing a step, Blessthefall have welcomed former Legacy guitarist Elliott Gruenberg into the fold. He'll be with the group on their upcoming festival dates in Japan and Australia. Gruenberg has also been busy writing with Blessthefall for their upcoming third album. The band's last studio effort, 2009's 'Witness,' was a huge commercial success and propelled the Arizona quintet to headliner status throughout the world.
