Get your passport in order and prepare for a road trip to Canada for one of two Heavy festivals in Toronto and Montreal, both held the same weekend, Aug. 11 and 12.

The two-day Heavy T.O. will take place at Downsview Park and feature Slipknot as headliner on the first day and System of a Down on the second. Heavy MTL at Parc-Jean Drapeau will flip the headliners - so System of a Down on Saturday and Slipknot on Sunday.

More acts will be announced for both days.

Tickets for the Toronto festival are $145 for the weekend; $155 for a "special edition ticket" and $500 for the Live Nation Lounge Platinum Weekend Pass (inc. private bar, restrooms, complimentary food and parking, bleacher seating with premium views of both stages, and more). Service charges and charity fee will be added to all tickets.

Everyone who purchases the Live Nation Lounge Platinum Weekend Passes and the first 1500 to purchase the Weekend Passes will receive two free album downloads to be redeemed at a later date: the new album from Serj Tankian of System of a Down, out this August, and a download of Scars on Broadway's new album out this Fall.

If availability permits, Live Nation will release single day general admission tickets in April.

Other Heavy MTL acts on the Saturday are Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage, Cannibal Corpse, Between The Buried And Me, Job For A Cowboy, Kataklysm, Periphery, The Faceless, Veil Of Maya, , Goatwhore, Flesh Apocalpyse, Rose Funeral, Origin and Exhumed. Sunday is Marilyn Mason, Lamb of God, Gojira, Suicidal Tendencies, Overkill, High On Fire, Protest The Hero, Cancer Bats, The Agonist, and IWrestledABearonce. More acts will also be added.

Ticket prices are slightly different for Montreal and include the additional fees: $153.50 for the general admission weekend pass, $158.50 for the special ticket edition of the weekend pass, and $238.50 for reserved seating weekend passes (which also come with the same two free digital downloads that Toronto is offering). The downloads are also being given to the first 500 people who purchase the GA weekend pass.
