In an unlikely pairing, Slash and Betty White have teamed up in a new ad for the Los Angeles Zoo.

The guitar hero and the 90-year-old comedic legend filmed the spot for LAIR (Living Amphibians, Invertebrates, and Reptiles), a new attraction that will feature 60 species of "weird, rare and endangered amphibians, invertebrates and reptiles."

A huge supporter of environmental welfare programs, Slash, 46, is a board trustee of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association. At one point, the former Guns N' Roses guitarist kept an exotic snake collection in his Los Angeles area home, until the birth of his first son, London Emilio, in 2002 forced him to find new homes for his reptiles.

White also works closely with the Los Angeles Zoo. The zoo recently named their new baby orangutan Elka after White's character on 'Hot in Cleveland,' her TV Land sitcom. The actress also serves on the board of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, while Slash was honored by zoo officials last year for his contributions to the wildlife center.
