Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen + More to Set Sail on 2016 Axes & Anchors Cruise

Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society), Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Schenker (Scorpions and UFO) and more have all signed on to rock the high seas as part of the 2016 Axes & Anchors Cruise. The boat ride boards in Miami on Feb. 20 and will cruise to Nassau, Bahamas and back by Feb. 24.

Fans will be treated to more than 40 performances, a dozen free guitar workshops with the musicians, meet & greets, and more on the five day, four night festival. Aside from Wylde, Malmsteen and Schenker, such rockers as Tracii Guns (formerly of Guns N' Roses and L.A. Guns), Alex Skolnick (Testament), Dario Lorina (from Black Label Society and Lizzy Borden) and more will jam aboard the ship. Lovingly called the "shredders cruise," this floating concert is sure to be a hit with guitar players and guitar lovers everywhere. Early bird ticket prices are on sale now over at AxesAndAnchors.com.

Before he sets sail, Wylde will start working on Book of Shadows Volume II. The guitarist’s wife, Barbaranne, recently said that her husband will be creating the follow-up to his debut solo effort later this year, to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The new disc is slated to come out sometime in early 2016. Wylde also recently launched a new line of audio gear called Wylde Audio. While it's not confirmed, some of Wylde’s new equipment might be on display during the cruise, as gear demos and tutorials are part of the event's agenda.
