You Me At Six drummer Dan Flint has some serious skills and he was recently able to put them on display in a promo video for Gibraltar's G-Class bass drum pedal.

In the clip, Gibraltar’s new pedal is put to the test while Flint plays the You Me At Six song 'Bite My Tongue.' Gibraltar says the pedal was made to offer “high-performance” players options to tailor the pedal to fit their needs. The frame is a single molded pillar with two cam drive adjustment points and a variable-weight beater.

Last year, Flint sat down with Music Radar to share the warm-up routine he goes through before shows. He said that he’s a fan of jazz drummer Jojo Mayer. He mentions Mayer’s instructional DVD, and Mayer’s emphasis on motor techniques. In the video, Flint shows off a few exercises he does, like paradiddles.

Flint and the rest of the band are currently in the studio working on their next album. A picture from their Facebook page show them gathered behind a giant mixing console. There is no word yet on a release date for the album, but they begin the U.S. leg of their tour toward the end of September.
