While Michael Jackson was known as the King of Pop, rock musicians all over the world cite him as a major influence. David Henzerling, guitarist for Big Cock and formerly a member of Keel and King Kobra, exclusively reminiscences with Noisecreep about Jackson and his star power.

"Regardless of Mr. Jackson's adult troubles, he was a gifted singer and entertainer and this is what we should remember him as. He was very much an inspiration to me growing up in the 70s - a talented and dazzling child prodigy that we just haven't seen in any generation since. There is no bridge or comparison between this caliber of musician and today's Miley Cyrus' - a part of music has unfortunately died and left no legacy."

Jackson passed away Thursday at the age of 50.
