West of Hell was formed in West Auckland, New Zealand by local musicians Ivan Vrdoljak (guitars) and Andrew Hulme (drums). After a long, arduous search, the duo found lead guitarist Sean Parkinson (ex-Sinate) and eventually, bassist Jordan Kemp. With a nasty set of material written, now West of Hell needed to find the right vocalist to complete their vision.

Having searched without success for perfect vocalist locally, the band decided to continue the hunt in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. In 2009, the four members decided to take a huge leap and move to the other side of the world to make West of Hell their life. After playing some shows there as a four-piece, they caught the attention of Zimmer Hole frontman Chris "The Heathen" Valagao, who ended up joining the group and adding the vocal dexterity West of Hell was looking for.

Now with a killer lineup in order, West of Hell entered the studio with engineer Rob Shallcross (Strapping Young Land, Fear Factory) and cranked out Spiral Empire, their forthcoming debut album.

Noisecreep brings you the exclusive premiere of "Water of Sorcery," a track of West of Hell's debut album.
